When you went through rush, what were some of the most memorable songs or chants?

For me, I will never forget...

"Kaaaapa, kaaaaapa, kaaaapa gaaaamma..
I am so haaaaappy that I aaaaaaammmmaa..."



Also, Tri Delt did a Jimmy Buffet themed rush skit so they rewrote Cheeseburger in Paradise as Tri Deltas in Paradise. Very cute! I was singing it for days!

and the one that we can't ever get out of our heads around here (to a fault, it's ridiculous!) is:

I've even started singing it with DG in it:
Delta G... do do do... Delta G... do do do... Delta G Delta do do do do do do Delta DG!
... yeah, it doesn't fit at all, but it gets stuck.

All the girls would make the Delta sign with their hands....so fun.
Does anyone know the whole chant? I still mumble it in my head whenever anyone on a GC rush thread goes DDD.

One of the songs the Chi O's did during rush was stuck in my head forever too...it was to the "I wanna be a supermodel" song from clueless but went " I wanna be a chi omega"....Great, now that I typed these, they are all stuck in my head again LOL!

We actually use the "Delta Gamma born and bred" one at our school. And I think you are mixing up two different Delta Gamma ones, but I may just not have heard of it. I know we do Delta, Delta Gamma I'm so happy, that I amma... and then we do the Rah Rah for DG seperately. But I'm not absolutely sure. The other one that both us and KD use goes like this:
D-E-L-T-A Delta D-E-L-T-A
G-A-Double M-A Gamma G-A-Double M-A
We are the Delta Gammas
We wear the bronze, pink, and blue
We are the Delta Gammas
Don't you wanna be DG, too?

KD just says "We are the ones for you" instead of bronze, pink, and blue

The KD one that they used second round that I got stuck in my mind is

K is for Kappa, D is for Delta

Then there's more, but it's been a while since I rushed, so I forget... but if I remembered that much... well, yeah, it stuck.

At my school, it was Pi Phi that did that one, and NO ONE I have talked to has been able to forget it! It's been almost 3 years, and I can still sing it...and I only went back to Pi Phi once or twice during recruitment.

Isn't it funny how these things stick with you well after Rush is over? I love this thread it's bringing back such good memories, the downside being I can't get these chants out of my head!
