Quota for Ole Miss this year was initially set at 102. But I think now it has been lowered. I think it's still going to be in the 80's or 90's...but they don't know yet because people are still registering for rush.

I was at the house today and I saw the rush video...it was sooooo good!! And I cannot beleive all the presents our pledges are getting on Bid Day! I was soooo jealous!

does anyone else think that quota over 100 is bordering on the absurd? i know this is beating a dead horse, but with a quota of 80 or 90, several sororities could colonize there at the same time and still have girls go bidless!

I feel you on that one. But unfortunately this isn't a "if you build it they will come" type of thing.

As of right now at 11:50am on Monday, there are 742 girls signed up for recruitment at Ole Miss. Therefore, quota should be at a normal number this year for our 9 houses! Also, becaue of computer problems and server problems last Friday, the deadline has been extended to August 31 at midnight to register for Recruitment. After that, no one can register late or anything of that nature like last year.

Anyway, just wanted to give ya'll an update. I know all of the houses were practicing yesterday on their door songs! They are all looking so good! GO GREEK AT OLE MISS

Damn, that's a really low # for Ole Miss. I think my freshman year there were like 900 or so. I can't remember...maybe not. But I was thinking there are usually about that many going through.

It's a whole new ballgame. Look at Penn State - they have 20 NPC sororities, Total is 80, and roughly 500-600 women sign up. If PSU had only 10 sororities, quota would be much more like LSU or Ole Miss or such. It's a different concept, a entirely different way of looking at the GLO system.

Of course, PSU sororities don't have houses to keep up, either. A chapter with a house almost needs a large chapter.

Hello all!! Bid Day was today at Ole Miss and everyone made quota I think except for DG and Theta. I think they are the only two but OleMissGlitter might be able to verify if that is it. Quota was 80. So there are a lot of excited girls in Oxford, MS tonight!! I know that Phi Mu took 84! But I don't know any other numbers.

I case you are interested, The ATO chapter at Ole Miss that suffered three deaths in the recent fire pledged 53 men this week. Other results were Beta Theta Pi-32
