You win this thread! Filing this idea away for future reference.

Am I the only person in the world who has no interest in boozefest bachelorette parties involving such items as penis-shaped straws, penis-shaped jello, and blow up dolls? Tacky (and boring).

I didn't want one of those either. We (the groom and bride) went out to "Jillians" for a night of arcade games, drinks and fun.

Yeah, I'm not all about bachelorette parties with getting drunk and seeing strippers and what not.

I didn't, spa day, some shopping, dinner and a movie out. It was a low key relaxing weekend and I definitely needed that more before the wedding than some crazy party.

I'll never understand the penis thing. It's one thing to go out and have a good time (one of my sisters had a St. Patty's day themed bachelorette party that was pretty fun) but the penis thing always bothers me. I'll wear stupid hats and drink stupid shots but to me penises just aren't attractive.

If I see one more picture of a woman licking the tip of a penis shaped cake or frosting sperms (no joke)! I will puke. Someone end this travesty of a bachelorette custom.

Would it be wrong to put in any vows I may take:

I promise to never let our children learn or believe that dinosaurs and people lived at the same time.

That has been added to my deal breaker list. How sad that it has become a problem it is a deal breaker. I swear this new Will Ferrel "Land of the Lost" is just going to confuse people and they may think it is a documentary.

My friend just picked out the colors for her wedding:

Fuchsia, Teal, and Platinum (wtf?).

Ugh.

Hahahah do it! Wait, did someone actually think that?? Whether you believe in evolution or not (I'm not trying to start shit!), that's just ridic.

I would be tempted to put silly things in vows but...nahhh.

I agree.

This weekend I went to the piano bar w/ some friends and on my way in to meet them, I saw a car with a 7-foot inflatable penis coming out of the sunroof of a car.

They brought the 7-foot inflatable penis in with them.

The "Gimme, Gimme" wedding was last weekend, and while the reception wasn't as bad as I had thought, there were some interesting moments.

1) The Maid of Honor gave a speech thanking the bride for being "the only person who knows the inner-workings of her chaotic mind. But, we probably shouldn't mention that here." Um, okay, but you just did. We had a lovely time discussing amongst ourselves what that could mean.

2) One guest brought her newborn (could not have been more than a week or two old) to the reception, and breastfed at the table. She was completely covered up, but that still caused some raised eyebrows.

3) The money tree was located smack-dab in the middle of the reception hall. Our pesos looked pretty hanging on it.

4) We wound up giving them a check and a copy of Emily Post. My husband's Aunt (the Groom's Mom) thought the book was a good idea.

5) Two words - cash bar.
