I found this and thought it was pretty cool. It was a pledge class picture for Delta Gamma in 1914.

I found this too...It looks like an old school Miss Kentucky from 1932

ps. I may be young, but Animal House is in my top five favorite movies!! I just watched it last week

But don't you think as time goes on that college girls are looking younger and younger? I agree with you though that some of those girls look like they are in their late twenties

The same photostream also has a DG group picture from 1896 - those ladies look considerably less merry than the other pledge class photo (which is lovely and they look like they're having a blast): 1896

This thread is awesome!! At my undergrad we don't do "formal" bid day pictures (sadly) which is what I am calling the ones taken by a professional photographer or those with the sorority information on the bottom.

I am loving the photos from the 80's and 90's! Everyone looks so happy and cute!

That is from Baker University in Baldwin,Kansas;not far from me. All but one of those sororities are still on campus and going strong today.

Those "wasp waists" are due to the tight corsets they have on underneath their dresses - I'd frown, too!! Oh, and people had to sit very still for the camera for a few minutes.
