The chair thing seems like a lot when you have 100+ NMs but I guess it's really not if you already have almost 200 actives. Get a few (like, 100) to do one and you're set.
Gotta love the girls with same names. I can only imagine how many Katies, Brittanys, Jessicas, etc. there are in a NM class of 100+. Not to mention the many variations of Mary _____ that you find in many southern schools.

I think that is long standing tradition with a lot of Pi Phi chapters. I love it! It's a great idea as each girl has her own chair at meetings throughout her years in the chapter then she gets to take it with her when she graduates. I least that's how I think it works.

I was wondering more what happens to the chairs that belong to the girls who decide to turn down the bid and don't show up to bid day.
