House Association!!!
Hey all! I know that there is an HA thread somewhere but I'm at work... so time is of the essence.
I need help...
First to the "BIG SQUIRRELS" out there... when are we getting new manuals... I could really use one. You can PM me with the date if you want to... hint hint hint.
The reason for needing a new manual is that I am about to start a BIG renovation on one or even both of the boards I sit on and could use a little guidance (and I want to be able to find the help without always having to email my HAC for the little things). If I can't get the whole thing right now, could you send me information on conducting interviews with contractors and what I need to ask about and for? Also proceedures on hiring people. THAT WOULD BE GREAT!!!! I think I'm at the point of paying to get a black market copy!  And we can't wait till the summer because that is our time frame on getting this all done.
Second... does anyone have any good books or resources for remodeling a third floor chapter room with dormer windows and concrete floors? I have been surfing the web, Amazon.com and the local library for books on repainting concrete floors and have come up empty. I have ideas but I don't want to suggest the wrong way and then screw it up (this board doesn't have the funds to pay people to do the repairs... we get to do it ourselves... which is fun but scary also).

I heard that the new manual was about 70% done a couple of weeks ago, lol.
You might want to contact the Gamma Phi HA President. GPhi added onto a 2nd floor at the time of the Olymics and then did more remodeling when a tree fell on the house. Let me know if you need her info.
BTW, GTau is scheduling a HA Training session on 2/18 in Carrollton. Wanna come, lol?

Hey... thanks Lynn. I would love to get any help that I can on this. As to the training... I don't know... it would be nice. How far is that from Lexington?

Hey ladies,
I was reading through the new manual the other day and I think I'm missing a section. Is there going to be a fourth section? Also does anyone know if there is someone to contact about typos?

I haven't downloaded it. Is it possible that they did away with that specific section?

I don't think they did because it is the extra stuff section. Maybe they did though.
