I've given blood three times and it always goes well. I have very visible veins, though. I hurt my arm really badly, though, after giving blood this year. It still hurts a bit but it's no big deal.

I should have, and thought of it, but I knew that I was there to give blood to people who would need it, so I stuck it out. I said something like "gee, i have no training in getting blood out, but even I knew that my left arm was no good, but thanks for putting me through all that just so you could go back to the arm I told you to use originally." Why she decided to use the left arm, after it is VERY visible that my right arm has the better veins, is beyond me. Of course she blamed the gloves, and I was like "well shit, take the stupid things off then, I don't care."

Well, I think I'll still do it despite some horror stories. My mom has seriously donated over a gallon of blood total. Crazy!

Yay! Going to my bf's high school football team. Oh crap, I should look up the colors of the other team so I don't accidentally wear the wrong thing...I haven't been to a HS football game in forever! Good thing I got a new flannel shirt! I swear it's cute, and not lumberjack-y.
Go Haybalers!!!

Dear Ohio folks:
Please stop complaining about how cold it is outside, as if it NEVER gets cold here. The other day, my news feed seriously was ALL the same thing "OMG it's COLD!!!!!!!"
Really, it's not even HALF as cold now as it will be in 2 months (pretty sure it was in the high 50's today). It hasn't even actually snowed yet (except that teeny-tiny bit a few days ago!)
You've lived here MUCH longer than I have, so you know what to expect, lol. Break out your UGGs and man up.
Thank you.

Last night it got pretty chilly here in Florida (around 60's with some wind). I'm a Florida native, but even I know wearing sweaters, scarves and flip flops while bitching about how freezing it is makes that person seem like an idiot.

They totally are the Haybalers. It was a great game, but they lost 23-24. They were undefeated until tonight. They're probably still going to the playoffs in a few weeks. The Balers got their last touch down in the last minute of the game then missed their two-point conversion after. It was a nail biter for sure!
Hey, cheap date idea! Go to a local football/baseball/whatever game!
Oh oh oh we're going to the Stanford game tomorrow! I hope they win, but Oregon is pretty amazing.

1. just because the movie is depressing as hell doesn't make it good.
2. you can't keep washing out your pictures. sure, it hides your imperfections. apparently, you're just hair, eyes, and lips. and light. add the "angles" to that, and you're a dime. but you gotta be yourself, eventually. quit perpetrating.

LOL I will never complain about the Buckeye Bucks again That sucks that they lost
My HS team won last night! Go Knights! Second round of playoffs next week but I'll be doing Inspiration that night so definitely won't be watching.
Have fun at the Stanford game!

I just realized I left my bike at my friend's house where he had a party last night (other friend drove me home). Hopefully I can get that back Monday.

Good for you.
I've given blood exactly once. While I was sitting there with my juice and cookies, I nearly passed out. Twice. So, no more blood donations for me. My blood type is O-negative, though, so the blood bank would.not.stop.hounding.me. I got a ton of letters, and my phone was ringing off the hook. (This was in ancient times, before the widespread use of email.)
I'd donate blood for a relative, but not to the general blood bank. Passing out is no fun.
