It happened so quick. About a week or two after the wedding, we were visiting and she brought up her "new business venture" which really came out of no where. But before she could tell us more, I knew it was a salon...she had mentioned it before, and actually mentioned it a few times recently, so I knew it had to be it. A few weeks later, here we are

They are open tomorrow, but will be remodeling over th next few weeks and will have a actual grand opening ASAP.

I admire my parents so much for having a passion and following that passion. My dad also has his own business, although its a bit more niche. He does professional music recording for bands, independent artists, etc.

i am so unspeakably proud of Jamaica right now, for winning all three medals in the 200M men's race. Bolt made it look so effortless. But what really touched me was his thank you at the end. He thanked his American fans. That was so gracious and classy!

Am I also the last person to realize that Romany Malco (40 Year Old Virgin, etc.) is R.O.M. from the College Boyz. This song kicked ass years ago. He was also MC Skat Kat from Paula Abdul's "Opposites Attract." I now like him as a humorous actor and an emcee.

Before I moved into my current apartment, I was Mr Anti Cable. I didn't want to get sucked into any TV shows, so I just didn't subscribe.

I have 400+ movies from when I was an undergrad working at Blo_ckbuster, so I would watch those constantly. Whenever I was bored, I would play the commentaries. They're interesting lol

I'm not anti-cable but more like "I would have cable if I had money to burn but I don't so screw it." I do just fine with my Roku player.

Oh, I didn't do it until I bought a laptop and a TV with HDMI hook-ups. I "dual screen" with my tv. I pay $8 a month for nexflix and use free hulu. And, don't forget--there is broadcast tv and now, many networks also post previous episodes online for free sooner than they are on hulu.

See, maybe I went about this incorrectly, but I live in BFE. There is ONE cable/internet provider that will come out here. There is seriously no competition. I have looked around. I've even gotten cable advertisements in the mail from different providers. When I call them, I find out they don't come out to my area. I have to pay almost $57 a month just for internet from these people (ehem, Charter).
