I miss my morning jogging when it was warmer outside. I mean, I always dress warm when it's cold, it's just that I miss wearing shorts etc. But I won't miss my morning jogging for anything. It's just something I've always done since I was in highschool. I love it and it's so healthy.

Yup, use of my psychology degree is never ending. I also remember when I consumed more alcohol that I would often wake up and not be able to sleep even though I was exhausted and I was still legally drunk and crabby. Granted some people drink so much they pass out and believe it is sleep but it isn't restful sleep and is in fact passing out from alcohol intoxication at a high level, scary stuff. I drink so much less since I was diagnosed with a real sleep disorder and I am trying to figure out how I made it through college without looking like I was 40 by the time it was over. Thank God I didn't smoke or I'd look like hell from the lack of sleep and the abundant alcohol consumption. Fortunately/unfortunately caffeine has little effect on me to stay awake or keep me awake at night so I get to take Ambien which works once in awhile.

I rarely drink these days because a)it's expensive and b)I don't have time for the hangovers, but I used to...all the time. I have sleeping problems, but I'm sure that was why they were so much worse a couple of years ago.

All caffeine does is help me concentrate (ADD), but I've still cut it out for other reasons. I had a headache for about a week once I quit.

I've read some studies that people with ADD/ADHD are more likely to have sleep problems due to the way their brains function and that the medication isn't always the real culprit for their sleep issues. From my pharmacology understanding a side effect of a lot of medication for ADD/ADHD has been blamed for sleep disturbance but when studied the individuals are not falling into REM sleep and getting real rest regardless of medication.

ETA: Caffeine has been real helpful with my allergies and related wheezy chest and headaches from sinus pressure. yay vasodilation!

In my case I wasn't falling asleep and staying asleep because of noise, light, and other environmental factors and my doctor had to suck it on their sleep apnea theory since I have no tonsils or adenoids. I have a lot of nights where I wake up more than 10 times and though I think I've been asleep for a long time it has been minutes. I was advised to not clock watch but if I don't check the time I may get up when I still have a chance to get some sleep and once I get out of bed it is impossible to go back to sleep. I'd like to claim I am more productive but I think I'd be better off with more sleep and less zombie like behavior and being half assed.

Yeah, I've had a doctor tell me my medication for ADD is probably the problem (and it's not a stimulant) but I have the same sleep problems when I'm not on it...so that totally makes sense.

That's about what I do, though it's not noise/light because I now turn off EVERYTHING (tv on sleep timer, all lights off, sleep mask right before I fall asleep)...at this point I'm so used to it I can run on less sleep.

Kimberly Elise is so adorable.

Okay, customer service bitch. I have a real issue with companies not having proper records and customer service reps not researching prior to calling a customer. Fuck off to the highest degree. And if a customer keeps you on the phone for a long time, usually because the company is full of shit, don't say "I have other customers." No shit and we don't wake up with the ultimate hope of talking to YOUR dumbass all day. We have other things to do, as well, and the difference is that you get paid to help US and you ultimately need us more than we need you.

Yea, I'll usually only have a glass or two and it'll help me fall asleep, but last night (this morning?) nothing happened.

But the conversation that followed my comment was interesting. Thanks for sharing

When I see her, I think that's what Kerry Washington will look like in 10-15 years. Both are very beautiful women.

Maintenance just came in to check my smoke detector batteries/change the furnace filter, and the guy told me my across-the-hall neighbors are being evicted. He said that he has never seen an apartment in worse shape than theirs. All from cigarette smoke. Nasty.

Judge Joe Brown was hilarious, today. I mean, his show is always really entertaining. It's "Bad Boys" week. There was one guy who didn't even have a job, but his girlfriend was paying the rent and everything else. Oh, and they moved in together after knowing each other for only 11 months. She eventually kicked him out, but months after she gave him a deadline. She should have never moved in with him. It's not hard to see "stop signs" in the beginning.

Now, Dr. Phil is talking to a couple and the husband wants an open marriage. Why the hell is she still with him? Some people are just so freaking dumb. Sometimes people deserve what they get.
