I don't care that he wanted more for her, that he wanted her to live, that was all well and good but he should have never said that. She already wanted to live and she already wanted those things. He should have never planted it in her mind that it would be him marrying her and him giving her children when he knew full well he was going to die and it would never happen. I think that makes the heartbreak that much harder to deal with--he got her hopes up for a future they could never have when he not only didn't need to, but never should have. What do you think?

I agree 1000%! I saw the movie after my sister and when it got to this part I called her & said the exact same thing. She agreed with me, though. We didn't fight about it.

He was wonderful. It was so wonderful. Last night was one of the best first dates ever.

At least it only took one date to find out about his wife.

Yeah I did. Personally, I don't like the guy, but I am willing to tolerate him. But I draw the line at personal attacks aimed at anybody.

It wasn't a personal attack. It was a username attack. I've seen personal attacks on GC.

Stop being so easily flustered.

If we reported everyone who has "attacked" us, there would be no one left except the mods, who could override the reports on themselves. There's a difference between drawing a line and drawing a circle around one person.

He fully explained himself and, for what it's worth, I believe him. His wife left him (for another woman) and she's ignored all his correspondence for months. But the fact is he is legally married. No matter how it feels to him, I just can't date someone knowing he's someone else's husband. I can appreciate that it's purely legal and not emotional, but McDreamy is still McMarried and that's not a situation I want.

You are a smart woman. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
