I love the way the dress is blowing in the wind. Weird I know.

Does anyone know where I can find a nice hanger for the "gown on the hanger" picture? My dress doesn't have traditional sleeves, and I'm thinking I may have to thumbtack it to the door with a pretty hanger looking as if it's holding up the dress.
ETA: I used to make pretty hangers, with lace loops to hold up lingerie, so if it has to be made, I can probably do it.

Etsy has a lot of pretty hangers. I think I am going to order one of these:

Feel like I have to post this:
http://www.priscillaofboston.com/index.jsp
As everybody knows, Priscilla is closing down as of 12/31.
They aren't taking anymore actual orders, BUT their flagship salons are still selling samples trying to get rid of them. They're even lower than the first time I posted about the sale.

If you live near one, and are okay with buying a sample and having it fitted elsewhere, you should definitely check it out.
A $4,000 gown for $499 is insane.

Bridesmaids dresses for $10? I'm tempted to go buy a bunch just for the "In case of a formal occasion" pile.

If you live near one, I would definitely go just to see what they have left. A friend of mine who lives near the NY location stopped in just to see what they had and there was still a good selection of stuff. Granted they're all samples, so they've been tried on and maybe don't look as super awesome as they might if you ordered them, but really, none of them probably have anything going on that a good trip to the cleaners/a steamer and some alterations can't fix.

Heck, at those prices, I'm tempted to go see if there's a bridal gown I like just in case I get married someday.

Note about samples though: in case you have never tried on a bridal or bridesmaid dress, sample size is typically a 6 or 8 (bridal also runs smaller than an average 6 or 8, so it's not an 8 like your jeans from Gap are.) I'm not sure if Priscilla carries any samples sizes bigger than that. But it's worth checking out.

I just now read the ad closer and LOLed a little bit at "limit 3 gowns per customer."
I pictured someone walking out with like 10 and just deciding on which one to wear later.
Sidenote: even if you don't live near one of their stores, I'd check out any store near you that is a Priscilla retailer. All their authorized retailers are selling off samples too (though I don't know if individual retailers are selling them as cheap as the Priscilla flagships are.)
I'm working with a bride who lives near a flagship and she just scored a Priscilla veil for $25.99. Crazy.
