Care Packages
Our alumnae group will be putting together care packages to sent to the local chapters for finals exams. It's been a few years since I was in school. Does anyone have any cute or different idea's besides the usual candy or pencils? I am thinking about making crescent moon cookies with yellow sprinkles.

The chapter will love anything you send. Here are other ideas, compiled from old posts:
Whether you are supporting a chapter in your area, or providing long-distance support, send the chapter a goody basket filled with treats and a note. This is a welcome gift for back to school, midterms, finals, December Holidays and more.
"We fill three 18 gallon Rubbermaid tubs with snack food. One for each chapter we support. Also the girls get to keep the tub when they are empty. They all say that they don't have enough storage."
"My chapter always does this. We never did individual goodie bags, but the same basic idea. Our Academics chair gets huge baskets and fills them with tons of goodies: usually some type of candy (Twizzlers, Hershey's Kisses, Hugs, etc..) and other munchies (fruit snacks, Chex party mix, Rice Krispy treats, fruit..), soda, scantrons and blue books, pencils, erasers, etc.. These baskets were put out in the house and everyone could take whatever they want while they are studying and then the next evening she would refill them with new stuff. It always went over well."
"We always do a cute little bag that has a bunch of different things such as : an eraser to "remind you everybody makes mistakes" a starburst to "to give you a burst of energy" and so on."

STAMPS!!!
My church does care packages, and I always check for the stamps. They usually give the $6 pack, but if you don't want to spend that much money, just give them one or two... trust me, even though bills are now paid online, and we e-mail all the time instead of snail mail, you would be surprised to know how many times I need just one little stamp, but the post office is 3 miles away in downtown traffic.

Stress relief items... like the rubber gummy ball to squeeze and stretch and pull when your lap top crashes at 2 am in the morning and you loose all 30 pages of yoru sr thesis

When we got a care package from a group in Florida, we went wild over the Pop Tarts and peanut butter crackers. Substance food is good, too!
