Here's our version-

Have a Coke and a Smile
Makes you feel good
Makes you feel refreshing
Makes you feel nice
Have a Coke and a Smile
That's the way it should be
And I'd like to see
The whole world
Smiling at me
Have a Coke and a smile
Have a Coke and A
Have a Coke and A
Have a Coke and a SMILE!

Each person in the group would pick a number and it would go around until you get to the number 10. I don't remember all the rhymes, but I am sure creative people can think of stuff to say.
THAT WAS OUR HOLLYWOOD KEEP SWINGING.

Miss Mary Mack Mack Mack
All dressed in black black black
With silver buttons buttons buttons
All down her back back back
She asked her mother (repeat twice like above)....
For fifty cents....
To see the elephants....
Jump over the fence....
They jumped so high.....
They touched the sky.....
And they never came back....
To the Fourth of July...
And then we went into some other thing and at the end we were like FREEZE!
What the hayle was going on with us?? Elephants...fences...4th of July??

AKA2D you really brought it back with Elevate your mind! I think that was a cheer at our school!

Yeah 2DISCRETE4U thats it
We use to sing a cheer called Toto beep beep!

Yeah, so me and my sister sat on the phone last night trying to remember some more chants. I know, I need a life.

Fudge, Fudge, Fudge
Let's go tell the Judge
Mama's gonna have a baby
A cute little chocolate baby
If it's a boy, I'll give it a toy
If it's a girl, I'll give it a curl
Wrap it up in tissue paper,
throw it down the elevator (We used to say that?!?)
First floor STOP
Ba doom doom doom
Second floor STOP
Ba doom doom doom
Third floor you'd betta watch out
'Cuz here comes the lady with the big boom bop.

Talking I wanna go outside for recess!!

This thread is too funny. Ok, the words are shaky, but here goes.

(group of girls standing around in a circle singing)
What can you do, Punchanella, Punchanella
What can you do, Punchanella in the zoo

(girl in middle of circle does a dance and then the groups follows her lead)
We can do it too, Punchanella, Punchanella
We can do it too, Punchanella in the zoo

- every girl in the circle get a chance to get in the middle and "do her thang!"

---------------------------------------

My name is ______________ (Tell it Tell it)
Zodiac sign my sign (Tell it Tell it)
And if you don't like it (Tell it Tell it)
You can kiss my behind (Tell it Tell it)
You know what? (What?)
You know what? (What?)
My name ________and I can do it like this! (do a dance)
------------------------------------------

Ok, this isn't a chant, but who else remembers "SLIDE" !

Smile Taking me back

You all are really going there with these. Here are some I remember:

I'm a Nut (hand game)

I'm a nut
In a hut
I stole my mama's pantyhose so what

I'm craaaaazy
I'm foooolish

I'm a nut
In a hut
I stole an apple from a tree so what

I'm craaaaazy
I'm foooolish
I'm crazy, I'm foolish, I'm crazy, I'm foolish
That's me!

-------------------

(chant)
Yo mama don't wear no drawers
I saw her when she took em off
She threw them in the air
Superman said, "I declare"

(She threw them on the track
That train jumped 50 miles back)

------------------

(hand game)
I went downtown
to see James Brown
He gave me a nickel
to buy me a pickle
The pickle was sour
He gave me flower
The flower was dead
And this is what he said

Then we went into down down baby
At the end we'd just go

Shimmy shimmy cocoa puff
Shimmy shimmy rah
Shimmy shimmy cocoa puff
Shimmy shimmy BREAKDOWN (and do the move where you put one hand on the floor behind you, and one hand in the air. Shoot...I can't breakdown like that anymore )

A few more...

When we were jumping rope we used to go through all the numbers first 2-4-6-8-10, 1-0 2-0 3-0 etc. and then bust out this rhyme:

J-I gypsy
where she been
she been around the world and back home again
she's a lover undercover
get down with ya mama
so spell your name on 1 foot (then she did it)
now spell your name on 2 feet (then she did it)

or

J-I gypsy
Muhammad Ali
Where on earth could her lover be?
I don't think anybody got further than that or either I forget the rest.

------------------------

One of my line sisters remembered this "mannish" version of Tell It:

My name is ___________ (Tell it, tell it)
I'm on the line (Tell it, tell it)
smoking reefer and drinking wine
And you know what (What?)
And you know what (What?)
I have a man (Tell it, tell it)
He looks alright (Tell it, tell it)
But he can do it do it do it do it allllll night (Say what!)

She swears they used to say this in elementary school (We're both 23/24). I wonder what those little girls are chanting now.
