Today I saw another first for me -- a license plate frame with both AKA and OES letters.

The DJ from 97.9 WNCI is playing live from some club, and he keeps making shout outs to the "lovely ladies of A Chi O!" who are there dancing in the club. It's cute!

I did the Go! St. Louis Half Marathon this morning. When we got to the water station at around mile 12 near the SLU campuse, we were greeted by a group of ZTA ladies (alums and collegians) from SLU in letter shirts. They were cheering and really cute and sweet. ZTA volunteered to work a whole water station. They rocked. Way to rep your letters!

Three stickers on the rear window of a car I saw in town today: Alpha Omicron Pi, St. Joseph's University, and another sticker I couldn't read.

There is an AOPi sticker on a car parked outside my building all the time. Since my building has a private garage, I'm betting that she works in the Obama office around the corner. I keep wanting to go in and see who she is, but figured it might be odd

Not the best occassion, but at my best friend's funeral on Sunday:
My best friend lost her battle with lung cancer at the age of 43. She was the mother of my goddaughter
About 20 of my goddaughter's new Chi Omega sorority sisters. I was overwhelmed with the love and support they had for her
Her TKE friend from Appalachian State
Her ATO boyfriend from UNC
Her Alpha Phi aunt

On the way to take my goddaughter back to college yesterday for her final exams, I saw cars with these stickers:
5 Alpha Sigma Alpha
1 Delta Gamma
2 Chi Omega
Not to mention all the Chi O stuff we brought back to her house (did the packing of some of her dorm). Her dad and grandma (who just buried her only child) will be heading up tomorrow to pack the rest

Last weekend we parked in a garage in Courthouse in Arlington and I saw an SUV wih ZTA letters! I was like "Zetaaaa!!!" And boyfriend was all confused.
He still doesn't get why I like seeing letters other than my own too.

This is a slight different "letters you didn't expect" story. When I was in law school and my husband was in grad school, he borrowed my car to go to an evening class. It had a "Kappa Delta Sorority" window-decal on the back. He came out of class at around 10:30 pm to find a creepy stalker guy, lurking in the bushes by my car. Mr. KDCat said "Hello. Can I help you with something?" and the guy pivoted and ran away.
I don't think that guy was expecting a 6'1 guy to drive the sorority girl's car.

While riding MARTA this morning to work, a US Airways flight attendant was riding the train to the airport and she had 2 Alpha Kappa Alpha luggage tags on her suitcases.

A few days ago I was walking my dog on our usual route through a residential area and I saw a banner on the front of a house. As I approached I thought "wouldn't that be cute if it was from a sorority". When I got up to it I saw that it read, "Welcome to Kappa Alpha Theta!" It was really cute and made me smile. Today I noticed that there is now a University of Chicago flag hanging outside the house. Pretty impressive that these Thetas drove nearly 10 miles to put up a banner on a New Member's house.

It was a glorious day so I took the motorcycle out for a ride. Passed an SUV (not too far from George Mason Univ) with AOPi crayoned on the window. I presumed it to be a new initiate.
