Happy July to everyone! I have been working in the nationís capital for five years now and will be spending my first every 4th of July on the Mall with thousands of others united and proud citizens of our great country. Iím little scared due to all the warnings but security is going to be tight this week. I usually go home to visit family and spend time on the farm doing cattle chores but no time with all my work assignments and sorority activities.
I'm so happy to see everyone's excitement and pride in our sorority. As a sister Iím so honored to be a part of a great sorority with so many wonderful and talented individuals. Iím looking forward to meeting many of you at this yearís convention in Texas. Iím all ready predicting the highest number of attendees in convention history (200 sisters would be awesome). Lets make this a goal, sisters!
I spend so much of my time working or talking about my work that I truly enjoy. I thought I would share a website address with all of you to get inside view on what one of your fellow sisters loves and finds so rewarding to do. I even get paid. Can you believe it? The website is still in development since the projectís activities started in March with my recent international trip to four Southern Africa countries. So check back in every once in awhile for an update on activities or e-mail me with questions.
Have wonderful and safe 4th of July!
