Question What's a Hot Tub-A-Thon???

I've read about chapters doing a hot tub-a-thon, but what exactly is it? I mean, I can come up with some ideas as to what it is based on the name, but can someone please tell me about it...and how successful it usually is. No chapters have done this on my campus, so I was just curious about it. Thanks!

Our mall has a hottub-o-thon, however, its probably different then how a fraternity or sorority does it.

It was a contest where people were drawn, and if they won, they were allowed to sit in a hot tub. The people had to stay in the hot tob at all times, and the person who stayed in it the longest (I think it was like 48 hours) got to take it home. The tubs werent full (of water) though.

I imagine if a greek house did it, there would be more social interaction.

I think usually its an attention drawing advice and people make donations or sponsor people for the amount of hours they stay in . . . lol
