Sorry to hear this--I was hoping Tulane's Greek system would keep growing

Yes, thank you for posting that. You just made my heart skip a beat. I am so excited to hear how we do at Ohio State.

Phi Mu and Gamma Phi seem to be presenting to the same schools a lot this year - my awesome membership vice-president of the Greater Katy Alumnae Panhellenic is a Phi Mu so we get to razz each other.

Very disappointing for everyone involved. There were 150 women committed to Zeta at Tulane but their target was 180. It is a real shame that the Beta Kappa chapter missed being colonized by 30 members.

The University of Minnesota is formally bringing a new sorority to campus for the first time in decades — but the chapter has to beat out other contenders first.
This weekend national chapters Phi Mu, Chi Omega and Delta Delta Delta will present to a committee reasons each should be the one chosen to come to the University.
Overflowing chapters, connecting to alumni and recent University support for participating in greek life contributed to the decision to add a new sorority, said Matt Levine, program director for the Office for Fraternity and Sorority life.
“It’s a huge deal,” he said. “It is the most exciting thing that they’ve been able to do on the sorority side in a long time. It’s going to bring a ton of energy to our community.”
Good luck to all those participating.

Do any of these groups still own a house on campus?
I believe Delta Delta Delta sold their house after closing (in 2004).

Dancing, dancing, dancing.
Wish Phi Mu hadn't sold their house, though.

Numbers are likely not the only factor. I'm sure they could have found 30 warm bodies if the number was all they cared about.

Interesting mistakes on the part of the newspaper--since according to Minnesota's Greek Life website, their AEPhi chapter was just founded in 2009! SO it hasn't been "decades" since they brought a new sorority to campus.
