As strange as this may sound, I think I would take it as a complement if the WBC crazies decided to picket my funeral.
Although I do agree that people deserve the right to mourn in peace.

Why would the media ignore them when people still get angry with them to the point of wanting to physically, verbally, or legally fight them?

Nittanygirl, does the "Willard Preacher" still hang out in front of Willard and tell girls they are whores for wearing skirts? If so, take that as a lesson. I could always tell who the freshmen and transfer students were because they would be the ones trying to have philosophical arguments with the guy when the rest of the campus knew to just ignore him. Do the same with the WBC. They keep doing what they do because they get the attention they want. Look at them the way the "Willard Preacher" is viewed by students on campus. They aren't a church. Westboro Baptist "Church" isn't really a church, it's a family law firm, and what they "pray" for is that someone will assault them or violate their rights so that they can sue the hell out of them.
They are about as much of a church as my book club is.
(And isn't there a billy goat somewhere expecting Dr. Phil under the neighborhood bridge?)

Wouldn't my stance match with LionTamer's post about them only being a law firm that wants people to get outraged to the point of physically fighting them? LOL. The media will keep covering this church as long as people still get outraged over them.

Just wanted to update that they weren't there at the memorial service. Apparently they'd been there around the time of the viewing/funeral, but from what I can tell people ignored them. Good move, IMO.
