Issues: Business casual does not=business suit. Especially not one with unflattering horizontal stripes. The jewelry is classy, but it's a whole lot of diamonds and it ends up looking like an outfit for a day at the office.
Ah! I have a question! I bought this dress (in black) for the business casual day... is this too business-y or formal?

I think it's fine...if it were me I'd pick some classy but unexpected shoes to go with it to make it a little less serious. Think a color like red or maybe some black wedges with cute details.

Oh my, I love this. I wish I had this the last time I rushed at my old school. Could you by any chance sticky this? What I wore was fine for my school. But so many people are confused on how many options of clothing they can have.

Love, love, LOVE that dress for the house tours! Too bad that color looks like death warmed over on me, though!

I know this is an old post, but this looks really matronly to me. At 30, I don't think I'd wear anything like this to the office so I'd be a little weirded out seeing it on a teenager--like she was going to talk about virtue and try to correct my etiquette.

It's the blazer. It is way too "old" for someone college age to wear.
Unflattering cut & the stripes are jail-like. Reminds me of something my tacky old high school principal would have worn. There are good ways to wear blazers at age 18...that is not it.
That whole outfit could be changed up with a bright, cute top instead of that blazer.

WhiteDaisy has impeccable taste with both of those outfits! That red striped shirt would be perfect with Delta symbols on it.
