I was sure I answered this last night! I saw it, and there are a few real ones, but you have to buy a lot of scrap to get to it! The person who listed it probably got it all at an auction or flea market and doesn't know what s/he has.

I would just like to say, I am a badge-aholic, and I love looking at pictures of everyone's badges. Though Sigma Alpha Iota's is simple, I do love it so. And since the two options we apparently have look almost exactly the same, our chapter just buys everyone the basic one. And I love it all the same and look at it a lot. We were initiated less than a month before the end of school, so I haven't really gotten to wear it yet.
And... I love the look of the AOII badge. Guess I am going to be begging my mom to find hers just so I can see it. I've been seeing a box that has AOII painted on it along with some roses for quite some time, so I believe that is her pin box and the pin is in there. Here is to finding out in the morning!
Thank you all for feeding my addiction to pretty, shiny, gorgeous (!) things. =)

Post a picture of your badge. I don't remember ever discussing the SAI badge, and it is so pretty, so what a shame! Post your mom's badge, too!

This is my precious. Funny story comes with it, too. We were told our chapter didn't send in the money early enough to have our pins sent to the school for initiation. Luckily we are 45 minutes from HQ so they drove up on the day of initiation and picked them up.
I will ask my mom if she can find her AOII pin later. There was nothing in her pin box so she is keeping it somewhere extra safe (which could be a bad thing as we can never find what she puts in a safe place ).
The other pin I have gotten to admire a lot is my boyfriend's Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia pin. He enjoys wearing it any opportunity he can and told me his dream job would be working for the fraternity. Can't get a picture too easily since he is 4.5 hours away.

I LOVE the SAI badge. IMHO, it's up there with the key, the arrow, the lyre, and the best of the other NPC symbol badges.

^^^If only you've seen the Nat'l President's Badge. It's set with diamonds and has a diamond enhancer. I've seen it IRL twice, but have never thought to ask for a picture.

That would be awesome to see. Hint, hint!! Thanks for posting SAITrump. I have always liked the SAI badge. It is very well designed. The shape around each letter is very feminine.

Always SAI: That badge does sound gorgeous... and glittery... and probably shiny. Definitely something that would distract me for quite a while. *sigh/stare* How easily amused I can be.
MysticCat: My boyfriend graduated in May. Though he continues to say he wants to work for Nationals, he keeps seeming to forget to apply when there is an opening. I encourage him whenever possible, because he said PMA is his life and one of the most important things he joined. He's already looking for a way to continue paying and he hasn't even found a job yet!
AOII Angel, you know... after my hours of staring at the badge after receiving it, I never noticed some of the details until seeing it blown up on this screen. Just like all the others, it makes me admire the designers. I could never make something that looks half as good as any of these.

The Nat'l Presidents badge is GORGEOUS. I was lucky enough to see it in person when she came down for Lambda Pi's installation. The diamonds just make it so.. pardon my french, but "blingy". It sparkles so much. I'll try to take a picture of my badge to compare to yours (it's the 10k half-crown version, what the standard, non-upgrade used to be before they changed to the plated)

He sounds like a great brother! Encourage him to see if there is an alumni association where he is, and if there's not, encourage him to help start one.
And give him an "All Hail!" for me.

Omega Phi Alpha now has member badges that are either all pearls or pearls with sapphire points:
^^^^This is the one that I have. I was one of the first OPA sisters to get one!

So pretty! Thanks for sharing. I don't know which I like best.

Without further ado, here is my badge! You can only see half of the rho and can barely even see the sigma at all in real life...le sigh. In the second picture you can see that the Chi is mounted high and a little crooked. I just don't know if it's worth trying to get fixed or not.
|
I am a little late responding, but HannahXO, I would ABSOLUTELY contact HJ about fixing that. It's not correct.
