That's amazing, Glitter. Pearls are sooo difficult to clean (as my AEPhi badge will attest) and they did an awesome job. The rubies just pop.

Here's TKE's badge. This is the standard one for all undergrads. Only alumni can get extra bling.

No extra bling for collegiates? That's interesting. What options do alumni have?

I seem to remember that being the case for a number of GLOs, though of course I can't remember who now.

The Alumni can get pearls and/or rubys (hmmm sounds familar :-) ) on the sides of the triangle. I'll try to remember to post a picture of my husband's blinged badge tonight. He has pearls on the sides with ruby points.

In addition to pearls and rubies we can get diamonds and emeralds (and maybe sapphires if I remember correctly) as well. But the whole idea behind the standard undergrad badge is that we're all on equal footing.

I love the way the jeweled badges look. Just curious, what jewels are at the tips? I can't tell on my computer's monitor.

1921 All Chased, my great grandmother's 1924 All Half Pearl on badge holder (can be easily removed), and 1958 Crown Pearl on A and O with Rubies in the Points of the Pi and chased in the background of the Pi on a charm (permanently).

They're rubies. Sorry for the poor photo, I couldn't get any better.

Bump!
Didn't anyone get a new badge (or badge guard or something of the sort) for the holidays?
And are we EVER going to see any photos from the KKG HQ trip? (no more side eyes, this is full frontal!)

A - I agree, someone must have gotten something new! I did get a very cool fleur de lis pin from 1890 and a great Kappa history book from 1930- but no badges.
B - Yes! But let me start my excuses: Someone else delayed things first (*cough*), then I changed jobs, then I fled the country for 3 weeks... soon I promise
