University of GA professor kills wife, 2 others

http://www.ajc.com/metro/content/met...ge_tab_newstab

I hope they catch him quickly - I do NOT like the idea of him running around, armed and dangerous.

I taught his children in high school!!

eta - two children by a previous marriage - in the article they mention the two children by the wife he killed.

Oh wow, I hope so too. That is just tragic.

One of my daughters was working on a project on campus Saturday and Campus Security locked down her building, refusing to let anyone out because her building is next to the one his office is in and they thought he might try to get to his office. She called us from her cell phone, scared out of her mind. Now she doesn't want to go to class on Monday if they don't catch him.

I used to do plays at that theatre all the time. Those three will certainly be missed. I hate this.

I have a feeling they'll find him dead, suicide. Just my gut instinct. It would be awfully hard for him to hide out for long with the news coverage this has gotten.

+1 on that sentiment. And the really awful thing is that two young children will be orphans.

His son by the previous marriage - named for his father. Anyone who googles his name will get a "hit" for a murderer.

What do you mean by "hit?"

What an awful story, and I feel badly for the poor families and students! I wonder what made him think that killing people was the answer.

Because his son was named for his father, the professor's son name will be associated with a murder. If someone Googles the son's name, they'll find a sit that says "Insert Name" murdered three and so on, even though it was his father.

Terribly sad story. I can't imagine being a student at UGA right now.

The family lived on the other end of my (very long) street, but I didn't know them. We were out all day Saturday, heard about it from friends while we were out, and felt a little creepy about coming home. They haven't found him yet.

Okay, I'm ready for them to get this psycho off the streets. Who knows if he'll return to campus and try to wipe out more people?

Did someone say that he's Dutch?

I know he has a home in Amsterdam.

I've got to think that if they haven't found him by now, he's probably dead.
