Another pinning/lavaliering question

Does pinning/lavaliering only happen among collegian members? Have alumni ever pinned/lavaliered alumnae? Thanks

I know that an alum from a Fraternity lavaliered one of my sisters (who was an active), but I've never heard of an alumnae getting pinned or lavaliered.

My boyfriend lavaliered me on the day of my graduation (actually, at the party afterwards). So technically, I was alumna then. He was still active for another semester.

I graduated in December and he graduated in May, so I was still around the entire semester anyways. I was kind of like I was still active (but no classes to worry about!)

I've only seen alumni of my boyfriend's fraternity pinning GDI alumni (of the University).

I'll have to ask around to see if we've ever had alumnae pinned.

I think a good idea is to give her my pledge pin.

Off topic question: What's GDI? When I first came here, I thought that it was a frat called Gamma Delta Iota, but I guess it means independent. What do the letters stand for? Thanks!

I know quite a few situations of this happening - my first school was an engineering school so some took much longer to graduate than others. A few guys have come back to pin undergrad girls, and a few girls have come back and been pinned by their undergrad guys.
