Hey shadokat,

Ballerina rushed last year too and went Chi O. As I speak, the little turkey is at a rush retreat in Florida--grrr, don't we wish we all were in Florida!

Best of luck to BlazerCheer... I'm glad she's rushing again, and I hope she finds her home this time around.

And good luck to Ballerina with her first rush on the other side!

Just out of curiosity, how does Ballerina feel about Blazercheer rushing? Does she want her to go Chi O?

She's at Valdosta State and the sororities are:

Alpha Delta Pi
Alpha Gamma Delta
Chi Omega
Kappa Delta
Phi Mu
Zeta Tau Alpha
I went through my first rush there
My best friends ended up in every sorority but Kappa Delta
I didn't go to any house

I think Ballerina wants BlazerCheer in Chi O on the grounds that she doesn't rat her out if she does anything that wouldn't be approved at home!

No, really...she does and yet she realizes that BC might feel at home with another group. However, I've warned her to watch out for BC in cut sessions because there are 4 girls from this town rushing and 3 are Chi O legacies. It would be terrible if Ballerina made some casual comment that she thought her sister liked the ABCs and her sorority sisters took it to mean that oh, it's okay if we cut her then and there are all these other legacies we can take.

A question for you, Carnation. How do they handle silence with in-house legacies, especially ones as close as your "twins" are? I mean, I'd think that with silence, they can't talk about rush, so Ballerina shouldn't even be able to comment on whether BlazerCheer likes another group. Of course, Ballerina's ChiO sisters could possibly analyze everything she says about BlazerCheer, so she'll have to be extra careful. I understand that.

At our school silence is TOTALLY strict- we can't even really say hello outside of rush! Anyway, family members as close as sisters (so not cousins) can keep in contact so long as they don't talk about rush.
Maybe Valdosta is the same/
