Let me try to find chapters for you. We have over 165,000 members in probably 8 or 9,000 chapters. Unless you are in a extremely small area, we should be able to get you invited!! [/B]

When I first contacted International, I lived just outside Boston proper. Now I live in Providence-- definitely not small areas.

Hey, Measi.
It's great to see you around. I still feel sad that things didn't work out for you, but you never know when something might come up!
I don't think my old chapter in Amherst is still operating. All of my chapter sisters have graduated.

Hey Erica--
Thanks. Honestly, I'm hoping it's just a timing issue. I figure it may work the same way that my views on getting married and buying a house worked out. If you'd have asked me six years ago on either of those questions, I'd have laughed and said it would never be happening. And then last year within three months, I was engaged and bought a house.
So maybe membership in BSP is just one of those things that it's not yet my time for, and that it'll happen when it's meant to.
Amherst at this point is too far for me, honestly, even if the chapter was running. But there's GOT to be something between New Haven, CT and Boston. And hopefully I'll come across it some day.

Chamber Of Commerce In your area!
Hello girls, I am publicity chair for our BSP City Council and I was going through our city and surrounding cities near here, and contacting Chamber of Commerces, as non-profit Beta Sigma Phi receives a free listing. I am making contact, to make sure our records are up to date, and to add our new VP contact person, for city council.
Now, I am reading here and thinking, there are Chamber of Commerces literally everywhere in the US.
Type in your browser, "any city & state chamber of commerce"
Email them and ask for Beta Sigma Phi contacts in their area!!
Hopefully these girls can find city councils and chapters, to receive and invitation!!
Hope this helps!!

DONT give up! You can try and start a friendly venture like I'm doing! Visit http://groups.yahoo.com/group/thornsandyellowroses/
I don't know alot of women either. I've posted on Craigslist a few times about starting a womans group.

Hi, Beryana.
I just approved you for the Rosies. I thought your name looked familiar!
It is totally reasonable to not want to Friendly Venture. It is a lot of work, and it is a very different experience than being welcomed into an existing, well-functioning chapter.
I'm really frustrated by the response that you got from the chapter. This is NOT how sisterhood is supposed to work. On behalf of my sisters, I apologize for the way that you were treated.
I'm glad you joined the Rosies list. I hope we can find you a chapter soon.
Hang in there!

Hi everyone, I'm interested in joining Beta Sigma Phi - I've been trying to send an e-mail that way I can find out more about Beta Sigma Phi, but unfortunately the e-mail is not working. I've tried to send an e-mail twice, but I keep on getting error messages in my inbox a couple of minutes after I sent the e-mail. Should I just call the number on the website and ask them about it? Thanks everyone. (I'm hoping that I'm not too young or unable to join...do you have to be a college graduate to join? I'm going to graduate soon...but I was just curious - I'm currently 20 but I'm graduating early). Thanks, I really appreciate it.

Hi. Yes, you should call the phone number. I'm not sure what's up with the e-mail.
You do not have to be a college graduate. You simply need to be 18 years old and female!
Good luck. I hope you find your Beta Sigma Phi home.

I received a phone call from a BSP member a few months ago about a new chapter being established in Louisiana. They were supposed to contact me last month, but I haven't heard from them and I can't remember the woman's name or phone number! Should I contact HQ for info about the new chapter?

Thanks all for the e-mail update and the advice, I'm going to try the e-mail and if I have more problems, then I'll call. Unfortunately due to an illness in my family I have not really been able to participate much even in my professional fraternity at the moment (most of my time is devoted to my family currently) - but since that family member is getting better, I'm going to give it a try. I can't wait to get to know more about Beta Sigma Phi - and to get to know some of the lovely ladies who are members! Since I'm in California, I figure that there's plenty of chapters nearby, so hopefully I will not be too far away. ^_^ Thanks again all, lovely to meet you.

I received a call yesterday and I've been invited to a rush! I'm so nervous! Wish me luck!
