From what I've heard from both my Bama sister and from DG, we are holding off. I don't know when exactly the expansion has been postponed until...

^^^Interesting, I've heard of girls specifically planning to attend (or transfer to) Bama in anticipation of DG coming on. This certainly puts a damper on their plans. lol.

I learned at Convention that Gamma Phi Beta is apparently also presenting at Whitman College.

Either that or it doesn't matter where they go to school because they'll be working for daddy.
*Sigh* I mean I get being excited about DG, particularly if they're legacies, but to choose a school or transfer just because they're coming onto campus? And I can only guess that at least some were unsuccessful at getting into DG at another campus and are hoping they'll do better here.

From what I'm hearing, it's more of an "I would never get to be Greek at Bama otherwise because it's competitive and this seems like a sure thing."
[yes, I know that is far from the truth]

Ah so it's the "Greek at Bama" status that they want.
I guess upperclassmen might have a better shot this way at least.

Psi U MC Vito:
Can you please advise how many active chapters Psi Upsilon presently has, and which of them are co-ed. There is no criticism or negativity or other ulterior motive behind this request. I'm just curious as to the status of Psi U's present chapters.

Not counting the colony I believe we currently have 24 chapters. Of those 5 are coed.
NYU
RPI
Georgia Tech
Duke
Keene State College

Psi U MC Vito:
Thanks for the prompt response.
The Chapter Roll on the Psi U website lists the following 28 active chapters and one colony (or 'provisional chapter', as Psi U refers to a colony).
Theta, Union College (1833)
Delta, New York University (1837)
Gamma, Amherst College (1841)
Zeta, Dartmouth College (1842)
Lambda, Columbia University (1842)
Psi, Hamilton College (1843)
Xi, Wesleyan University (1843)
Upsilon, University of Rochester (1858)
Iota, Kenyon College (1860)
Phi, University of Michigan (1865)
Omega, University of Chicago (1869)
Pi, Syracuse University (1875)
Chi, Cornell University (1876)
Beta Beta , Trinity College (1880)
Eta, Lehigh University (1884)
Tau, University of Pennsylvania (1891)
Omicron, University of Illinois (1910)
Theta Theta, University of Washington (1916)
Zeta Zeta, University of British Columbia (1935)
Epsilon Nu, Michigan State University (1943)
Gamma Tau, Georgia Institute of Technology (1970)
Chi Delta, Duke University (1973)
Epsilon Iota, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (1982)
Phi Delta, University of Mary Washington (1996)
Lambda Sigma, Pepperdine University (1998)
Alpha Omicron, New Jersey Inst. of Technology (1999)
Sigma Phi, St. Francis University (2007)
Delta Nu, Keene State College (2009)
Phi Nu provisional, Christopher Newport University
But Psi U seldom updates the Chapter Roll, never more often than once a year and sometimes even longer than that. So can you please which chapters are no longer active ... presumably there are four of them, if your number of 24 is correct, and presumably the five co-ed chapters you have listed are all active; so which four (or however many there are, if not four) of the other 23 are inactive?
Thanks in advance for the update.

The Theta, Iota, Gamma and Upsilon are inactive. And provisional chapter is actually above a colony. And apparently I miss spoke because it appears that it is 25 not 24. I was counting the Phi Nu, but not our new colony. Also for completeness, the Gamma was Coed as well.

Thanks again for the information. You should e-mail your HQ and tell them to update the Chapter Roll.
