Phi Gamma Delta has announced the closures of their chapters at New York University and the College of Charleston(SC). Both closures are due to RMF.
The Tau Kappa Epsilon chapter at Indiana University has been closed. Closure is due to RMF and violations of school policies.

According to Hall, Zeta Tau Alpha is referred to as a fraternity because the founding members were some of the original women’s fraternal groups that is not named a sorority, but is a group in the conference.
Vandevender said the process so far has been more time-consuming than difficult.
She said she and Tate thought of bringing Zeta Tau Alpha to Pitt-Johnstown last summer.
“We knew it was going to be a very long, and sometimes frustrating, process. However, we were willing to do whatever it takes,” Vandevender said.
She said they have 13 potential members.
“Many girls have expressed interest in joining. However, since we technically aren’t a campus organization yet, we have decided to keep the group exclusive until we get the OK to recruit,” she said.
Tate said she and Vandevender wanted to bring the fraternity to campus for a variety of reasons.
“The beliefs (Vandevender) and I both share are reflected by Zeta Tau Alpha: the promotion of alliance, happiness and the building up of a greater and purer womanhood.
“With Pitt-Johnstown’s strong emphasis on preparation for the real world, we agreed that nothing could ready a person more than the participation in a group such as Zeta Tau Alpha,” Tate said.

I wonder why so many sororities left UPJ? Anyone know the back story here?

Does Alpha Gamma Delta not exist on campus at Johnstown anymore?

Hm, I guess not? It looks like irishpipes' thread may need to be updated...

ETA: I just did a Google search, and on the site that shall not be named, there was a review in 2015. The only one since then was posted in June of last year and states: "great group of girls that need to come back"
ETA again: This says that AGD is eligible to return to campus, if they desire.
https://www.upj-advocate.com/news/20...ority-is-left/
Ok, this is the last ETA: if there were two sororities that left campus in 2015/2016 (AGD and ASA), and if AGD left due to numbers - which I assume per the statement made in the link I just provided - why would they look to add another sorority now? Does anyone have the scoop on why AGD and ASA left? If both were because of membership numbers, do you think it's too soon to add another sorority?

It doesn't look like ASA left due to membership numbers (per my sleuthing on the ASA website). Apparently there were policy violations.

Well, that could certainly change things a bit.
Hopefully expansion works out for them - and someone clues in those young women about how this whole thing is done!

The IU chapter of TKE has had its charter revoked by the national organization, effective immediately. http://http://www.idsnews.com/articl...02/catke020818

There is a Feb. 10, 2018 posting on the Tri-Delta website about the closing of their chapter at Union College. Something about hazing.

Trivia sidenote/
3 chapters, Alpha Xi Delta, Alpha Gamma Delta, and Phi Sigma Sigma, all shared the same chapter designation of "Zeta Kappa". The other two chapters flipped their chapter designation "Lambda Epsilon" for Delta Zeta and "Epsilon Lambda" for Alpha Sigma Alpha.
Worthless trivia. It's how my mind functions.

I have no connections to Tri Delta, Union, or AXO, but I wonder if that's related to why AXO opted not to colonize this fall after they were selected.
Edit: "Further, our onsite investigation determined that significant culture change within the chapter is unlikely, given the current campus climate" comes from the Tri Delta announcement, so I'm thinking yes.

Anyone know what’s going on at Cal Berkeley?
In recruitment Fall 2017, Gamma Phi withdrew from recruitment.
In 2016, AOPi closed and became a local chapter (Delta Sigma) though still participated in Formal (& got quota).
