CD

I think making a CD of our songs would be an awesome idea. Many chapters, including mine, are missing out on some really fun songs. I am the oldest member in my chapter right now and I don't even know that many! ugh I know we all have the words to the songs, but that's really not helpful when you don' know the tune. Just an idea.

I made two up but never told my chapter about it
one is short and the other is long

if you've ever seen bye, bye birdie, they sing a chorus to 'normal american boy'. . .well, i changed the words

We love you, PHI SIG
Oh yes we do
We love you, PHI SIG
And will be true
When you're not near us
We're blue
Oh, PHI SIG
WE LOVE YOU!!

I sing it to myself sometimes because I think it's so catchy and cute.

Tape of Phi Sig Songs

Hi There,

I'm desparate!!!! Does anyone have a tape of all the Phi Sig songs or can someone make me a tape of songs. Being one of the newest chapters and musically challenged we only know a couple of songs. It is getting old singing the same old ones. Hopefully someone has a tape that they can send me of the songs. I'll reimburse you for mailing it out.

Carolyn

Which ones are you guys singing? I think that would help. We just had a songfest this past sunday after our informal retreat. If you email me, I can get our cheers/chants/songs to you. We have some cool ones that we made up too.

We only sing a few since its the only ones we know.
The Liberstraum, The Clapping Song, He's the one, Remember, It only takes a Spark, and there's two more for Pref night but I can't remember what they are. We tried to learn the rose last semester but we never did get it right. That's really all we know so any songs would be helpful. I'd love to hear the ones you've made up too.

I'll pm you with my home address and thank you. Even if we already know the song it would be great to see if we're doing it right.

you know, i was sitting at work the other day and i realized that in my classroom i have about 30 cassette recorders...it would be so easy to make a tape of what i know...
i don't know too many more songs than what you have but i do know a few...i just don't have the lyrics with me....so if someone could send a copy...i know i'll look on the site here we have some posted....last year i taught myself a few songs, but it's been so long i don't remember them all...

Of course, i'm not a great singer so you may just wanna stick with White_Chocolate's offer....

ps the clapping song is one of my favourites!!

My favorite is the cheer we got from the NY girls

'Don't give me no words, no words
Don't give me no phrase, no phrase
Just give me that girl
WOO-HOO
That Phi Sig girl'

OH, and let's not forget our informal meeting cheer

PUMP PUMP PUMP IT UP
PUMP THAT PHI SIG SPIRIT UP
PUMP PUMP PUMP IT UP
PUMP THAT PHI SIG SPIRIT UP

YEAH
OH YEAH
OH HELL YEAH!

And also the bomb-diggiyty AAAHHH cheer

AAAAAHHHHHHH
Who Who Who am I
(starts getting pumped)

. . . but you guys know the rest. . .

Chapter Song

Does anyone else have a song that they have claimed as their "chapter song"? Like if it comes on at a party/mixer/the bar you all gather up and sway or do something? We do, its Livin on a Prayer by Bon Jovi. I really dont remember why, I think it started with my little's class... but when ever I hear it I always think of my sisters

We have the boring old 'Brown Eyed Girl' that EVERY sorority and their mother uses but I want to change it to 'Ain't No Mountain High Enough'

Ours used to be "Sweet Home Alabama".... I miss those days! Screw Bon Jovi, especially since I think that's a Kappa song, too, isn't it Ali?
