I'm re-reading Class Matters (New York Times compilation). It's a very interesting read, particularly in our current economic state.
ETA: Apparently, it's available on the NYT website.

Just finished "The Big Oyster" by Mark Kurlansky - history of New York, and "Hands of My Father" by Myron Uhlberg - autobiography of a hearing child of deaf parents born in the Depression - a great story!

Bass Ackwards and Belly Up, it's a great light read I also started Mirror, Mirror which is by the same author who wrote Wicked but about Snow White.

I'm still reading Wicked. For some reason, it's been a hard book for me to read. I don't know if i'm just not into it, or if it's the way he writes.

I still haven't read Mirror, Mirror - I read the one based on Cinderella... it was okay. I loved Wicked.

I had a really hard time with "Wicked", too. I read it, but couldn't tell you hardly anything about it after I finished. I had the same problem with Toni Morrison's "Beloved".
eta: I know book titles are supposed to be underlined, not quoted. Everytime I try to underline one thing, everything else ends up underlined.
