Yes

We also had to know the full name, nickname, and initials of each Greek org on campus, in addition to being able to recognize the badge and pledge pin of each org.

I had forgotten about that, but yes, we had to know the other pins on campus, too.

I was in a fraternity from the late 1980's to the early 90's and our policy was

yes
yes
no

And all these years later, I can still recite and write out the Greek alphabet. Amazing that it stuck.

I am a Delta Zeta who was active in the mid to late eighties.
Yes
Yes
No

Our music chair taught us a neat little song to help us remember it!

I asked my daughter, who is a current active of another Panhel sorority if she knew the greek alphabet and she replied that being made to learn it was hazing!!!

For Alpha Sigma Alpha (2016) we didn't have to learn anything about the Greek alphabet.

For Alpha Chi Sigma (2015): Yes, yes, no. I had to learn a lot of information for AXSigma, and we often compared our pledge period as a separate class due to the time and breadth of study involved.
