One of my old boyfriends has 10 cats.

Don't look at me, I didn't do it.

Define "cats." We'll have to know the quantity before we can pass judgment on your sanity.

Yes, but you dated him. Or did he amass said felines after you broke up? (That actually may score you bonus points if you drove a man to become a crazy cat hoarder.)

Obviously it is time for another session of GC Court. On today's docket, we only have sanity hearings. Doink*Doink

Posting this pic taken on bid day of my initiating chapter, just because I think the diversity in the chapter is cool:

Whites, blacks, middle eastern, Asians...all one happy family.

Maybe. I'm never impressed by photo cohesion.

This is one of the more interesting cases for GC Court. Cat owners must be stopped because cats are alien life forms.

We walk our dog because while we do have some yard now, it's shared. We figure if we have to be out there with him anyway, might as well take the leash and go outside the yard. I'm sure this behavior will end with the first snow.

Oh, this was WAY after we broke up and he dated multiple girls and was married and rather messily divorced. Repeat: I DIDN'T DO IT.

I used to breed & show cats, so what category does that put me in?

The most I've ever had is 11 cats-- 5 adults and 6 kittens (2 litters: four Persians from my cream female and two Abyssinians from my ruddy female). However, I had friends in the fancy who have had many more cats....

Animal lovers sometimes don't know when to stop. I personally started to feel overwhelmed when we had 2 dogs (my Springer spaniel and my husband's beagle) and 4 or 5 cats. Now I have allergies & asthma so bad that I'm not supposed to have cats anymore and even having a dog on the hypoallergenic list is taking a chance. I intend to take the chance some day, though. Now I'm just the lady that comes up and pets your dogs and talks to you about them.

I would say that puts you in the category of "people who Dr. Phil is very very askeered of!"

Reviving this thread because I did get around to reading the book I mentioned earlier, Born to Be Hurt: The Untold Story of Imitation of Life, and I can't recommend it enough to people who are fans of this movie. It covers just about every angle there is to cover, in exquisite detail, and the author's great love of the movie is so apparent. (This love does not extend to John Gavin, however.)
