That makes 2,011 bids from a reported pnm pool of 2,113. That would be an amazing placement percentage if correct!

not sure where you get that number. The UA press release on their web site says 1896 total bids.

Vestavia Hills, AL 27

*Not guaranteed to be right--this does not account for any typos that may have occurred within the bid list published online. I am simply pivoting this info. I double checked that all starts are correct, but I am NOT about to go through all cities.
Anyone else want to see the data a different way? I have it all in a pivot table and can pull it for you
ETA: I keep seeing 1896 as the final number, but my list is 1895. I either accidentally cut someone out or there's just a discrepancy here. Sorry either way :/

Thanks for all the stats!
Mountain Brook, Vestavia, and Hoover are considered Birmingham -- sometimes girls from these areas are listed as Birmingham. Homewood also -- and there are several more communities in the B'ham area on the list.
It is my understanding as well that quota was 107 + 10 upperclassmen.

Yes, y'all are right--I got my 7s and 0s mixed up. But I still stand by 117 Pi Phis because that's what the regional site is telling me! Maybe that's your missing number, lovespink.

I noticed there are 44 states listed. Does anyone know how that compares to previous rushes?

To piggy back on this question, are upperclassmen only counted toward “upperclassmen” quota? Or can they also be counted toward the “general” quota? What happens if in theory, a chapter happened to want more “upperclassmen” than the upperclassmen quota and less freshman than the "general" quota? But still would reach the 117 mark.
For example, if the “general” quota is 107 and “upperclassmen” quota is 10, and a chapter only pledges 105 freshmen (by choice let’s say) can they pledge 12 upperclassmen (two being quota additions)? And as such, would the numbers be noted as 105 (quota) and 12 (upperclassmen)? Or would two from the “upperclassmen” pledges be counted toward the “general” quota number for the chapter? Thus 107 "general" quota and 10 "upperclassmen" quota.

Well, I'm glad I spent hours and hours going through that horrendous list to get a workable spreadsheet for some comparisons, only to find myself beaten to the punch!
The only thing I'll add: The only states NOT represented on this list are:
ID 0
ME 0
MT 0
ND 0
NM 0
SD 0
OK, one more add. If my numbers are accurate, 2113 registered, 1896 pledged = 89.% pledge rate from the start. I think that is REMARKABLE. Some girls didn't make the cut because of grades, and others dropped out for their own reasons. That leaves a precious few girls who really ended up on the short end of the stick. And considering there were snaps (I'm seeing too many discrepancies of a few girls for that not to be true), hopefully some of of the girls who ended up homeless due to no fault of their own got picked up at the last minute.

Upperclassmen can only count toward upper class quota becausethe RFM specalist manages them in a seperate upperclassmen pool. Yes, there an be quota additions for this secondary pool.

EEK! I am so sorry, sister! I did not see your first post at all and since I'm super quick with Excel (I seriously do a LOT of work in it on a daily basis and have been for the last 3 years straight) I figured I would whip something up quick. It took me a half hour, let me know if you'd like some tricks (at my new job they have just been in awe of my Excel skills lol) But I did not mean to steal your thunder

If that is the case then that is where my missing number is.
However, I did repull and got the same 116 again. It was just a few manipulations of Excel cells so I doubt I made the same mistake twice. I feel so bad for whatever NM was left off that published list!!
