Ah, interesting. I recall a conversation with a sorority woman whose son went there. She told me that one of the chapters/clubs still used wine and silver blue as their colors.

There is a story. And the short of it is that the college ordered all chapters closed, but never got the money.

The Severance family had a LOT of money. Big industrial family in Cleveland and they must have had an unquestionable authority over the administration.

How about colleges with more locals than nationals.

Carthage College, they have 2 nationals (AchiO and Chi O) but have 6 locals.

Iona College has 1 national (Phi Sig) but have 4 locals.

The city where I went to university has 2 universities with many locals! My chapter was founded as a local sorority then colonized by an NPC. Most of the locals in town are open to women from both universities in town, but they tend to be based out of one school.

University of Ottawa has 2 NPCs, 1 non-NPC international sorority and 2 international fraternities. There are currently 5 local sororities and 1 local fraternity.

Carleton University has 3 NPCs, 7 international fraternities and 2 NPHC organizations. There are currently 4 local sororities on campus.

The number of locals changes every few years with existing locals becoming dormant or colonized and new locals being founded, so apologies if my information is not up-to-date, it's been a handful of years since I was active!

Sororities at Otterbein are still all locals but fraternities are a combination of local and national.

The College of Wooster is still all local -12 total but I don't know the breakdown of sororoties to fraternities
