100 Best Books of All Time

Just a note this is from a writer with Readers Digest...these certainly aren't my selections.

I've read 18 off the list, there are another 3 that I started and hadn't finished and several others that look really interesting that I'm going to have to add to the reading list.

I've been very slack with my reading the past year or so and I need to get back into it, hopefully it will help me unwind especially when work has been frustrating.

Voracious reader here. That is an “interesting” list. I’ve got my own list and tell myself I can’t die until I’ve read everything on my list. Oh, I keep adding to the list ; making a deal with the devil can’t be too far off. It worked for Robert Johnson. No, wait… bad analogy. Delete that.

IMO any list that doesn’t have To Kill a Mockingbird in the number one slot is suspect.

I have been wanting to read that, but couldn't handle anything deep whilst going through my "medical incarceration". I'm currently reading only a couple rungs up the ladder from "See Jane. See Jane Run. Run, Jane, Run!"

Just counted, and I have read 18 as well. Started more than a few, but never finished them I did find "The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lackes" facinationg!

I have “Team of Rivals” - great book. I have everything Stephen Hawking so I have “A Brief History of Time” too. And then I want to read “1984”, even though I have no clue what it’s about. I’ve heard so much about it so I want to read it.

How did Harry Potter make that list? Terrible. Anything Harry Potter is so beyond overrated, to me.

You’d like it. It’s kind of slow at first, but it gets better further into the book.

I agree. I hate Harry Potter. I hated that Twilight bs series too. I got tired of seeing it advertised everywhere and hearing it being talked about. Both served no interest to me in the least. Beyond stupid.
