I'd love to see Alpha Phi at College of Charleston. Such a beautiful campus in a beautiful city, and from what I hear, a very classy school too.

I'd love to see us at any of these, but in particular:
I'd love to see us a Delaware, Wesley, or UNLV because we have no chapters in those 2 states and I'd love to see one.
We have 4 chapters in SC and I'd love to add a 5th with CofC.
I'd also like to see us add another CO chapter (we only have one).
I'd especially like to see us recharter Epsilon Gamma chapter at GVSU.

My wish list . I'd love to see Kappa recolonize our UVM chapter - we have 21 inactive chapters and it would be great to have only 20! I have friends at Elon and CofC and they seem like wonderful schools. And we have no Delaware chapters, so UDel would be great... and close to us in Baltimore!

Hi Lane Sig:
Sad news, but on the bright side, it seems there's a possibility of a fall 2010 return:
DU is closing its chapter at Penn State:
http://www.centredaily.com/tilc/story/1424018.html
Excerpts from artilce:
Thursday, Jul. 30, 2009
STATE COLLEGE — The alumni board of a Penn State fraternity is shutting down the house, saying the students living there caused a long list of problems ranging from not taking care of the property to offering marijuana to a visitor from the fraternity's leadership.
The Penn State Delta Upsilon alumni board is in the process of expelling the members from the house at 229 Locust Lane, saying ongoing efforts to work with them didn’t stop the problems. The alumni board plans to reopen the house in fall 2010 with new members.
. . . John DelSignore, alumni corporation president and 1992 Penn State graduate, said the decision was made about a week and a half ago.
. . .Alumni treasurer Dave Merenda, a 1977 Penn State graduate from Atlanta, said there were 48 members on campus. He is one of the alumni in the house while it is being shut down. If the five members still haven’t left by Friday, Merenda said he’ll file eviction papers.
“We have guys that are 70 years old, and it’s breaking their hearts,” Merenda said.
The problems have been going on for several years, and some are visible — a broken window, damaged floors, holes in the walls and a stair bannister ripped from a wall. Other problems were drug and alcohol related.
The chapter ended up in redevelopment — a sort of probationary oversight — after a fraternity member offered marijuana to a representative of Delta Upsilon International during a visit. . . .

Am I the only one who immediately thought of this scene?

Seriously, if he offered pot to a HQ person (I am assuming the person wasn't undercover) they need shut down on a dumbass clause.

Florida Southern University
The campus will be inviting three groups to colonize over a 3-6 year period. There are currently 5 sororities. Quota has been 22-25 over the last few years and total is 42, although the chapter sizes range from 35-60. There are 6 fraternities with a 7th colonizing in the fall. The student body is 27% Greek, with a University goal of having 40% of students in fraternal organizations by 2013.
Alpha Gamma Delta, Gamma Phi Beta, Delta Zeta, and Sigma Sigma Sigma have been invited to present. Tri Sigma, DZ, and AGD all previously had chapters at Florida Southern. This would be a spring 2010 colonization. Formal recruitment is in the fall.

I would love to see another Gamma Phi chapter here in Florida!! Florida Southern is a nice smaller size college and I think would be an awesome place for Gamma Phi (or any other the other sororities invited to present)

Delta Upsilon Expansion
DU is expanding to Rutgers, Arizona and Pittsburgh this fall, all tier one schools. Rutgers is a revival of a chapter that existed from 1858-1991 when it was closed for hazing,Arizona existed from 1958-1970 and will join a growing Arizona State Chapter that pledged 20 men this year. Pittsburgh already has 30 plus members on its facebook page.

I had to go back to check because I couldn't believe I hadn't reported it. I guess I've just been sitting on this since March, sorry! One of my chapter brothers transferred to UMBC, so I bet he's very excited now!
ETA: I was surprised to hear that UDel is open for expansion. Isn't there a group interested in Gamma Phi there? (I think I read about that here) Do sororities generally take on interest groups as fraternities would?
