Would you name your child a Greek-themed name?

I remember seeing a DG bid list a few years ago where they got a NM named Sailor. What a coincidence!
I saw a TV show this weekend where the daughter was named Arrow. I thought, oh that would be a great name to be a Pi Phi. So would Angel.
Used to work with a woman whose last name was Chio, and yes it was pronounced the same, but she went to a small college with no Greek life. A few years back, a PNM went thru at UCLA whose last name was Lico, which is our sign off acronym for “Love In Chi O” (not secret) though she joined another sorority.
I’ve also seen a couple of guys with the last name of Cross who have joined Sigma Chi (for the white cross of Sigma Chi).

Any other stories?
Any ZTAs with the name Zeta or a royal name that would wear a crown? A member with the first or last name of your group’s color, gemstone or flower?

A friend of mine told me one of her friends from high school's mother is a Kappa and named her daughter so her initials would be KKG, which I thought was cute! I guess it's serendipity that the woman married someone with a last name starting with G - or perhaps great planning.

My senior superlative was Most Likely To Name Her Daughter Eugenia, after our main founder Eugenia Tucker Fitzgerald, but I don't *think* I would do that.

I know a family - the parents met in college. He is an SAE and she is a Tri Sigma. Their kids' names are Phoenix, Violet, and Pearl.

My XO big sis named her 1st daughter Olivia. We did a rush skit of “Olivia” (the female version of “Oliver”). I so remember singing “Rush glorious Rush” (“Food glorious Food”).
That was long ago when our skits were from our National HQ.

Tangentially, we had sisters who went through rush a few years apart. Their parents had met at Auburn, and the girls' middle names were Wareagle and Tiger. At UGA.

I'm not sure my fraternity's symbols are best suited for a person's name, but I love the examples shared. (and I love our founders, but I think my family would want to stick to a family name. . .which happens to be ethnically Greek hah)

The only tidbit I can contribute to this thread is that I can confirm that Moon Zappa is NOT a Gamma Phi Beta.

I actually knew a girl named Crescent once, and always thought it was a cute name!
