Talking Pledging as a nontraditional student

Hello everyone I am writing because I am interested in joining a sorority however I have already received my first BA in May of this year but I plan on returning to school in the Fall of 2001 to obtain a second degree. I need to know of I can pledge while in pursuit of this second degree or is pledging only for first time undergrads.

Thanks in advance for replies!

I am currently working on my second B.A., but this did not stop me from going thur rush in Fall 99. I say go for it. Your age or the fact that you are pursuing a 2nd undergrad should not stop you from going thur rush or exploring other GLO's.

Hope this helps

I think if you wanted to pledge an NPC group it would be alright, although you already have an undergrad degree.

if you are interested in a BGLO, since you have a BA, you would have to try for membership in a graduate/alumnae chapter. check here to find the org. you're interested in for membership requirements.

As far as the NPC houses, it really varies with each house. Some will take a degreed(sp) candidate, others will not.
There are 26 NPC houses. You might want to go to this link, and check out the individual houses and their requirements. Good luck!

My Chapter has several Founders who were on the verge of graduating, and one had come back to school after military duty. The average age of our Founding Class was in the mid-20s. They brought a lot to the sorority, and I bet you will too, so go for it!
