Hokay...how about Kristin Armstrong the Olympic Gold Medalist for cycling in 2008 who used to be a triathlete and got into cycling because of osteoarthritis? or General James Amos who is preparing to be confirmed as the Commandant of the USMC?

^^^Right. Even if your school is 25% Greek, the majority isn't.

to be read with a sotto voice:

Back when dinosaurs roamed the earth, women went to college (out here on the liberal coast) to get an education (that would be used for a few years until children appeared) because.......you really went to college to get a Mrs.

Normal voice: And yes, many of my sisters were elementary ed majors. One of my dearest friends said that her parents were ready to sit shiva for her (memorial services in the home after a funeral) because she was graduating without a husband. They said that they "wasted" all that money. Note: A month prior to graduation she was introduced to the guy she would marry. (disaster averted) BUT most of these women turned out to be marvelous accomplished women.

One of my sisters, I heard, came from Texas to pledge our house and then went back home and affiliated. ....she followed the script (love the phrase) and she married well.

OK?

So every person on this board was born with a bid in hand and has never had to deal with any type of rejection?

Exactly. Rejection is part of life. Many times, you will have to interact with people who either a.) rejected you or b.) got what you wanted.

Example: Are you going to quit your job because you can't stand to see Suzie and Becky Colleague get promotions (when you didn't?)

Did you miss the part about me rushing multiple times before I got a bid? I had to work hard for it, and honestly, probably would have been just as happy with out it. Less stress
