Thinking about starting a new local?

Well, if you're thinking about starting a new local...there are a LOT of things to consider. For awhile, a group of my friends and I were thinking about making up our whole new sorority. Well...we had no clue as to how to start, what we'd need to do, or if we could collectively decide on the basics plus the hard stuff like rituals.

Luckily, I was contacted by a WONDERFUL person who responded to a post I had on a local sorority website. She told me about her sorority and I liked what I had read. I looked on the website and it was very, VERY similar to what we wanted ourselves....but everything was basically already done for us. All we had to do was pledge and we'd be founding mothers of our chapter!

I'm proud to say that I am a founding mother of the Beta Chapter to Sigma Lambda Epsilon.

If you are interested in doing something similar, please feel free to check out siglamb.com but it hasn't been updated in awhile. We'll have new site soon for the beta girls. We'd be interested in a Gamma Chapter etc...
