Why, thank you! In fact, after posting that picture yesterday, it occured to me that I would like to wear my wedding dress again. So I put it on and flounced around the house in it yesterday afternoon! Imagine my surprise and embarassment when my husband brought a co-worker home with him when he came home and didn't call to tell me to expect company!

That dress is BEAUTIFUL, but the model is a little scary/goth looking.

I promise I didn't wear a big ugly flower in my hair.

And Callie, luckily the co-worker was an acquaintance of ours in college, and he's rather eccentric himself. He didn't bat an eye at the wedding dress. He did, however, point out to me that there was a pound of ground beef floating in a plastic bag in the guest bathroom sink (I had to defrost it in there because the kitchen sink was full - don't ask). Yesterday was not one of my finer days to have visitors over.

I was nervous for a second that this picture was her wedding portrait. I'm so relieved that she's a model.

That dress definitely looks really good on you! I think I like it on you better than on scarey goth chick model with large flower in her hair (and I was definitely going to ask if you wore the big flower in your hair too ).

Awww, thanks Honeykiss and HBADPi! It was a magical day, and I felt beautiful....especially since I wasn't wearing that ridiculous gigantic flower on my head.

i'm sticking with my opinion - you look absolutely lovely, ADSigMel! i imagine it's more than the beautiful dress, too, it's the beautiful bride!

I thought of that too...so before I posted I checked the properties of the pic, and I figured since it came from www.casablancabridal.com, it was safe to assume that it was a model and not her in the pic.

I don't think I've ever heard of someone having a different dress for the reception. I can understand why, I guess, but I've never seen it done.

WOW, f8nacn! Those gowns are both absolutely stunning. And I think wearing two gowns is a great choice. It means you get to wear both a traditional wedding gown AND a super-sexy sheath. And, let's face it....there's just no such thing as too many wedding gowns, right? I'm sure your wedding is going to be absolutely beautiful!

P.S. Depending on what you're doing for your honeymoon, that sheath might be an excellent option for a formal evening out.

The second dress can be worn again to a formal event (depending on the season that it is held in)...plus w/ the style of the dress for the reception - I have more mobility.
