Why is it that on my daughter's 1st day of Kindergarten several years ago, she colored an apple pink and the leaf was green ?

Why is it that like the rest of my Sorors, this post has left me with a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes?

Why is it that I looooove being an Alllllllpha Kappa Alllllllpha Woman?

Why is it that an older post that said "and with a " made me ?

Why is it that I feel a connection with all of my Sorors here on GC and we've never met?

"life owes me naught..."
I heard a Golden Soror say that at the LC this year
When she said that I was.....
I can't put into words the way I felt
I know you understand Sorors
She was sharing stories from her life as a Soror
I could have listened alllll weekend!
I'm getting a 'lump in my throat' just thinking back to our conversation....Skee Wee Sorors

Our sisterhood is a bond that follows me wherever I go. No matter where I am how far from home, our sisterhood is with me. People can't understand, and you know what.... they shouldn't. I love my A-K-A!

- I have shared that story with so many people
- just thinking about it brings tears to my eyes again
- i imagine "us" sitting there 50 years from now
- then I can say, "...I've lived my day"

Why is it that...

1. I love AKA a little more every time I see a cluster of green ivy in the midst of a dreary winter?

2. I can reminisce with my sands and laugh until my sides ache?

3. I refuse to let anyone who isn't a Soror write with my AKA pens?

4. I still smile when I see my own AKA license plate tag as I walk to my car? I probably look a little crazy in the parking lot, huh?

5. I get chills when I see a Diamond Soror?

6. Why is it that any other sorority even tries to compare?

7. Why is it that I LOVE Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Innnnnnnnnnnnnnnncorporated so much?

1. I am still excited when my Ivy Leaf arrives

2. I am cheesing because my chapter has three items listed in the latest Ivy Leaf (Check us out Sorors )

3. My Daddy almost drew back a nub when he took out my AKA mug to drink his coffee in

4. I was up to midnight working on my AKA scrapbook the other night

5. I immediately spot anything in a store that is Pink & Green
