One word, CANADA. Don't laugh. Great skiing. Or if you want to fry your body, try the Florida area. Or south texas. Save up now, it get very very expensive. Might even have to hitchick home.

When I was in school, I went to Park City for Spring Break my freshman year (great skiing, but expensive place to ski), and followed that up with trips to Daytona Beach, South Padre, and Panama City Beach. South Padre was my favorite trip out of those three. As far as I can tell, the most popular Spring Break destination changes from year to year. I know Cancun is always popular, but I didn't feel like spending that much money. Panama City is probably the most reasonably-priced trip, especially if you drive there. It's closer than most Florida resorts because it's on the panhandle.

Heather,
I am only a 2 hour drive from Whistler. All UBC students go there during Reading week.
Arya, why would anyone laugh at your suggestion of Canada? It's the best damn place in the world (especially BC ).

i have a very odd spring break place. last year, my best friend and i took a road trip first to new hope, PA and then to salem, MA. she and i are both pagan and thought that those places would be great to strenghten and learn about paganism. new hope is a really funky town with lots of culture and wiccan/pagan things there to do. salem...well, i'm sure you can guess the cultural influence salem has on a pagan. it was a fabulous place to bond with my best friend, just her and i. no guys, no sisters, no school...just us.
