Don't put the cart before the horse. There are 2 other orgs presenting too.

My point is it's not up to ASA, DDD or TPA to preserve any local's history, either by mentioning it in official materials or by storing anything. Nor, if I was an alumna of a local, would I want them to do so.

Ah - well, Tri-Delta and Theta Phi Alpha also have long and distinguished histories; my point is that any local will be getting far more than they might be giving up when joining a NPC group.

Just a clarification...Alpha Phi is REcolonizing their Whitman College (Beta Phi) chapter, which closed in 1979.

Given some things shown and implied on their season of Sorority Life, there are probably quite a few DZO "traditions" that wouldn't be preserved by any NPC group.

My chapter was a local before we became Tri Delta. We were only a local for three years before we decided to go national.

When doing the history we always mention what our sororities name was before we were Tri Delta. It's part of our history and I hope they never stop talking about it.

Send a message via AIM to SthrnZeta
Saw on UCF's Panhellenic Twitter that they've opened up for expansion as of Dec. 2

That sucks! Why? I have friends and family that attend Penn Tech and I was excited they opened up a Greek community by bringing on ASA and Tri-Sigma. I'm sorry to hear that.

For the same reasons most colonies close...they were having trouble meeting the requirements to charter.

I'm sorry to hear that as well, since I'm not too far away and was happy to see Greek life growing locally.
