Question Pink Eye?

Does anyone know a good remedy for it? My roomie has it and I need him to get healed so we can party for the rest of the week, lol.

First...get rid of towels and washcloths because it's highly contagious! Use only disposable towels because there's a chance you could get it too.

While I recommend going to the doctor to get antibiotic eyedrops, this is what my mom used to use:

Mix 2 tsp. chamomile flowers.
1 tsp. Oregon grape root.
2 cups of boiling water.
Let it sit for 20 minutes, cool, strain and use an eyewash.

or...

You can use a lotion made out of Vitamin A and apply it directly.

or...

If the eye is swollen, peel a potato and cut it in thin slices place them on eyes affected by conjunctivitis.

I've also heard that dabbing it with pee does wonders too. Never tried it though.

Make sure that if your roommate touches his/her eye that they wash their hands afterwards. This prevents infecting others.
Honestly, I got pink eye a lot when I was a child. The best thing for it is to NOT TOUCH IT!
Use the medicated eyedrops perscribed from the doctor and just keep your fingers out of your eye.

If she's a girl she may want to throw away her make up too!

Red face Ohhh!

Gasp! Pinkeye has scared me...but I have eluded it (luckily).

In the case that you get it...

Definitely throw away make up...and you might, to be on the safe side, change out your contact stuff...all new lens holders, and solution. I know people who have gotten it over and over because they didn't replace their contacts.

I'd say just wash your hands constantly, and have him do the same.

Speaking of which, remember that girl Lyla? She was on the cast when the Pembrooks were there, before Nicole Eggert and Co moved in. She was HOT.

Tell your friend to go see a doctor. Pinkeye is the worst but the antibiotic eyedrops will do wonders.

Pee?

You have to wonder how people thought of these things in the first place....

Some of pink eye infections are viral so the antibiotics won't work. The viral kind is most contagious and a lot of people end up getting them again.
