I guess I would consider myself "new" to the area, so I really haven't a clue what kind of festivities to try other than what I'm seeing in this "Fear Finder" paper I picked up. They used to have something similar to these in Nashville.
I guess that for the first time in over 30 years, I won't be with my trick or treating kids. Kids usually trick or treat here until they're in high school and my youngest, who was born a few months before I joined GC, said he's too old now as a freshman. So what if he towers over me now, he needs to trick or treat!
I always go over to my parents' house for Halloween to help hand out candy (they live in a nice area, I currently live in the kind of area that has no streetlights & I would worry about the kind of parents who let their kids trick or treat there).
This year I will be co-hosting a Halloween party at my friends' house on Saturday, so I'll spend most of that day cleaning/decorating/beer run/making treats!
