I'm not LDS, but know quite a few. When they get married in a Temple ceremony, they also are given a Temple Garment which they wear for the rest of their lives. The dresses are pretty conservative so that the garment can be worn underneath. I've never completely seen one, but they sound very much like those old-fashioned drop-drawer pjs you see, only shorter and with special embroidery. I do know that there are people who seriously never completely take it off, even for a bath or shower! They'll have the sleeve of one on as the other is being taken off. I keep thinking that, when they hit their 40-50's, their hot flashes are going to be brutal!
I've got to find a picture of my full-back armed wedding dress - without the massive cleavage, that is! OleMissGlitter, I just love, love, love that first dress!! But that last one reminds me of a Herb Alpert cover!

LOL - I was going to say the same thing about it looking like a cake - mine was a Barbie cake (when I had a LOT less candles than I do now).

OMG this is memory lane. I had a doll cake like that and I also owned the Herb Alpert album.

Ditto to what you said! And once I baked a doll cake for one of my daughters and we lit the candles and as we started to sing, the frosting on her top began to melt. By the time we got to the end of "Happy Birthday", the doll was topless.
That was all her friends talked about for weeks, lol.

And btw, I just received a bunch of pretty yellow flowers in a mug at my place of work from the store I bought my dress at wishing me the best on my engagement and telling me they look forward to working with me. How classy is that? I'm so impressed with them. Anyone buying a dress in Georgia, come to Augusta and go to Elegant Bridals!

Sthrn, I love your new dress and I'm all about customer service too, so it's clear you picked the right shop.
And Amanda, I've been meaning to post here and comment that I saw a preview of the wedding episode of "Scott Baio is 46 and Pregnant" and I swear his fiancees dress looks just like yours, only her trim/train color looks like a red or burgundy. If it's not the same dress, it's very similar!
