How Bout Them FSU Seminoles!
Talk about and upset! Can't believe they lost to Louisville. Its sort of like when my favorite ACC team (NC State) beat them at Tallahasse last year.

Man, that was a good game! Everybody wave bye bye to FSU's National Title hopes. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
FSU's loss was certainly a good lesson for my VT Hokies tomorrow - Don't think because a team is unranked you can just skate by them, ESPECIALLY when they are playing at home!

I hate you all.
Now as for waving anything goodbye, not so fast. We still play UF, Miami, and Notre Dame. If we beat those 3, I think we have a great chance of winning the title AGAIN.
And I know that isn't a GATOR talking trash...wait til y'all get to Tallahassee.

It's startling to see an unranked team rise up and drop the hammer on Big Daddy Bowden. Since I'm not particularly familiar with college football ratings, how would a loss to Louisville weigh at the year-end polls?

Wow...I'm feeling the FSU love in here
Observation/question: It seems (and this is not just here on GC) that most people who are not actively "for" the Seminoles are actively "against" them. (Very little neutral feelings for my FSU boys) Just curious as to why....what perception does the team give off that makes them so easy to hate?

One name: Bobby Bowden
He just really bothers me for some reason.
I liked Steve Spurrier more than him.

For anyone who cares- you can see Louisville on tv again tonight because the nations second largest high school football game is played tonight. 35,000 people come to this HIGH SCHOOL football game every year. It is St Xavier versus Trinity. They are two catholic all boys schools that are kind of elite (I know that at ST X tuition is over $6,000 a year). So the entire city is buzzing-
As for the FSU game
I watched it last night at a place in town and everyone went freaking berzerk- they even had a round on the house! The goal posts were already ordered in case U of L did win.
Personally, I like U of K I didn't care who won, but I kinda like that U of L did win cause it puts my city on the map with people that don't normally think of Kentucky as... well at all!!!
So to wrap up- FSU got beat by some chickens!!! (The mascot is actually the Cardinal but the picture looks like a red chicken!)

It's so funny...if I were home in FL, I'd be laughing at the Noles' defeat (I'm a Gator Girl). But now that I'm here, in the great Northeast, I just want to see a Florida team win! FSU just beat my school in volleyball last weekend, and I was actually kinda happy! Weird, no?

Darn it, no Trinity--St. X game on tv way up here. GO ROCKS!!!! Who's carrying it in Louisville, fingers crossed that it's Fox Sports. I'd still guess that there's more tradition and loyalty associated with this *high-school* football game than you'd find at a lot of major colleges and universities. Seriously.
I don't think this loss will knock Florida State out of national championship consideration yet. Louisville was ranked in the top 20 to start the season, then Kentucky came in and that was the end of that. Another loss isn't going to help them though.
I'm not a Seminole fan, but cheer for them when they play teams like Louisville (no surprise, huh) or Miami or Florida. I like the tradition I see when Florida State is on tv, there's no question that Seminole fans are loyal and rabid.

HEAVILY.
You don't lose to unranked teams and win championships, period. They'll drop to the low end (maybe 20s) in the ESPN poll, and not quite as far in the BCS.
Even if they win out, they'll still have a tough time claiming a national title.

@Ksigkid
Thank you for explaining. Because it seems that Louisville won't be a quality loss, as it were, for Florida State.

Louisville isn't just another unranked team though. They've lost a few close ones and actually were in the preseason top 25. I'm looking for them to do pretty well this year.
