You know where the brown came from? When I read it, the pink made me think of GPhiB which has brown as one of their colors.

Q: During the mid-1900s, SAI had set up space for sisters to use in a variety of big cities. Where was the first one?

Okay, I'll try to word the question better.

In the 1930s, Sigma Alpha Iota began securing "National Houses" in area hotels to serve as a space for all local chapters to hold business meetings, musicales, pledge services, initiations, parties, etc. The first one, called Chicago House, was at the Allerton Hotel on Michigan Ave. in Chicago. The second one, New York House, was established at the Tudor Tower on Prospect Place in New York. Where were two other SAI houses established?

You are half correct.

One was in the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles and another was at the Miami Biltmore Hotel in Florida.

Q: At the 1917 convention the question was asked: "Is there a national prejudice against Jewesses becoming members of Sigma Alpha Iota?" The response was "No." Yet, from 1918 through 1926 the National Bylaws forbid a different religious group from being elected for any form of membership. What religious group was it?

I'm thinking either atheist or Buddhist. I really have no idea.

I recall in the SAI History book that there was a chapter that had an African American member and the chapter refused to drop her as a member. Am I remembering this right?

When I left my active chapter I gave the sisterhood my History book as a gift (our chapter is super poor and couldn't even afford to buy the History book so I did and donated it). But I wish I had taken notes on it.

Anyways, I am really proud of SAI and how we've handled a lot of things.
