Thank you, jolene! I started a new antibiotic just now.

Maeve Binchy read of the day: The Lilac Bus.

I love her J.P. Beaumont series. Wish she would bring him back and give him more to do.

Yes. The antibiotic Cipro. Twice. Never again.

Hope you are feeling better this week, HC.

Back on topic: Have to sort through my boxed books and re-read Wendell Berry's The Unsettling Of America: Culture and Agriculture. Then maybe go ahead and read Hillbilly Elegy by J. D. Vance.

Picked up two of Anne Rivers Siddons' books, Islands and Off Season, and will start one of them tonight. Ordered a couple of Joanne Fluke's books (Double Fudge Brownie Murder and Blackberry Pie Murder) and The Diary of Olga Romanov: Royal Witness to the Russian Revolution from Amazon; hope they keep me going until Christmas!

Sorry, I missed this, Cheerio. I'm severely allergic to Cipro, too. Thought I was going to die!

Took a break a read Anne Siddons Rivers' Islands. Will be going back to Olga Romanov's Journal tonight.

Just finished Hidden Figures. Fantastic book! Alpha Kappa Alpha and Delta Sigma Theta were referred to throughout the book. Highly recommend it! Next to start a few Maggie Hope mysteries.

Monday's newspaper. It wasn't originally delivered due to cold weather, and our library has a copy available.
