Mizzou Locals

Hi ther,

I am a 22year old New Zealander (male) traveling to Missouri to work and study in 2013. I arrive in Columbia MO on new years eve and wondered if there are any good NYE parties in the city. Also where are the best places to stay on a student budget. I would be keen to meet any other students keen to have a good time on NYE.

I have just finished a degree here in New Zealand. I love the outdoors, a few beers and rugby. I'm want to learn a bit about football over there but also watch some local rugby if it is played in Missouri.

So any lads keen to have a few and talk some crap with a kiwi I'd be keen to party with you NYE

Columbia is going to be sort of dull on NYE, because most students go home for Christmas break and don't come back until after NYE.

There is a rugby club at the University.

You can contact the University for help in finding a place to stay.

Dull... That doesn't sound encouraging. I should have been clearer I am only there for two nights before moving further south, doing an online course and just back to coumbia periodically. I think I have found an alright hotel. Looks pretty rough but will probably be drunk haha so won't matter too much.

Hopefully someone will suggest a NYE party.

Thanks for your reply KDCat
